      Bizen Ware is earthenware made in Okayama. Characteristic of the ware is using no glaze and it takes many days to fire. So, it is harsh to the touch. It makes feel us courageous from its touch.      It is used for many uses such as tableware, vase and tiling roof. It is too hard, so it is well suited to using as table ware. We can use for long time. When using a Bizen Ware vase, its modesty favors beauty of flowers. Bizen Ware tile is tiled on roof of Shizutani school which is special historic spot in Okayama and first school for ordinary people in Japan.   

     Momotaro is famous man in Japanese fairy tale. In fact, it is said that the birthplace of Momotaro's tale is Okayama.       For this reason, the Okayama prefecture depend on and take advantage of Momotaro. Most representative character of Okayama is "Momocchi." Certainly, Momotaro is used as a his motif.              In addition, "kibidango" is famous. It is used the animals and it is a motif of one of the Doraemon's items. Generally speaking, it is imaginary food, but It is sold all over the shops in Okayama.      These days, Okayama airport becomes Okayama Momotaro airport. I think it goes to far.  

      The third term ended and the forth term started. I'm looking forward to encountering interesting subjects.        I must study hard for myself on new term, however, I couldn't do so perfectly in the third term and before term. I tended to put off difficult tasks such as experimental report and mathematics. In short, I didn't complete studying plan I expected. I will improve this in the forth term.

     Today I listened to CNN English express. I'll talk about it.       It explains deference between two words which meaning is similar to each other.  

      Speaking of Udon noodles, what do you think of? You probably think Kagawa prefecture, Marugame Seimen and etc. I think so too. The fact, Kagawa is famous for it and we can eat it inexpensively.        In fact, Okayama prefecture has deep relationship to  Kagawa prefecture. First, TV station is the same to each other, so people in Okayama get many information about Udon noodles and we want to eat it.  Second, when you see from Okayama, Kagawa is on the other side of the Seto Ohashi. So, Great Udon noodles restaurants in kagawa come to Okayama. As a result of this, there are many delicious Udon noodles restaurants. 

     Today I introduce O-temanju.Do you know O-temanju? Of cause, you don't know.       Looking at the picture, you know it is manju; Japanese-style bun stuffed with azuki-bean paste. It is good taste and match a Japanese tea.       People in Okayama prefecture take this when they visit other people officially and casually. The fact is that I ate it which my mother took it home from the workplace. As you can see above, O-temanju is familiar to people in Okayama. Please eat it if you come Okayama.
