The climate in Okayama

     Do you know characteristics of the Okayama's climate? Probably you don't unless you have experience of living Okayama. I'll introduce it.      If I said the climate in Okayama in one word, it would be comfortable. This is because the number of rainfall in Okayama is less than almost of others, and it is located between mountains, so it is protected by mountains from typhoons.  When I was a child, I wish typhoon comes directly and make me be in house, but as far as I remember, it is a few times for twenty years that typhoons prevent school opening. This shows comfort of Okayama.

Access to Okayama

      Okayama is located between Hiroshima and Hyogo, so the Shinkansen is through, and there is airport which's name became Momotaro airport these days. In short, transportation  system to go to other prefectures and come from is good.       Seto-ohashi Bridge is important traffic infrastructure in Okayama too.  Seto-ohashi Bridge is only bridge which trains can go to Shikoku District from Tyugoku District. Therefore, Okayama's traffic is connected to Kagawa's traffic by train.

Momotaro

     Momotaro is famous man in Japanese fairy tale. In fact, it is said that the birthplace of Momotaro's tale is Okayama.       For this reason, the Okayama prefecture depend on and take advantage of Momotaro. Most representative character of Okayama is "Momocchi." Certainly, Momotaro is used as a his motif.              In addition, "kibidango" is famous. It is used the animals and it is a motif of one of the Doraemon's items. Generally speaking, it is imaginary food, but It is sold all over the shops in Okayama.      These days, Okayama airport becomes Okayama Momotaro airport. I think it goes to far.
