The climate in Okayama

     Do you know characteristics of the Okayama's climate? Probably you don't unless you have experience of living Okayama. I'll introduce it.      If I said the climate in Okayama in one word, it would be comfortable. This is because the number of rainfall in Okayama is less than almost of others, and it is located between mountains, so it is protected by mountains from typhoons.  When I was a child, I wish typhoon comes directly and make me be in house, but as far as I remember, it is a few times for twenty years that typhoons prevent school opening. This shows comfort of Okayama.

O-temanju

     Today I introduce O-temanju.Do you know O-temanju? Of cause, you don't know.       Looking at the picture, you know it is manju; Japanese-style bun stuffed with azuki-bean paste. It is good taste and match a Japanese tea.       People in Okayama prefecture take this when they visit other people officially and casually. The fact is that I ate it which my mother took it home from the workplace. As you can see above, O-temanju is familiar to people in Okayama. Please eat it if you come Okayama.

Korakuen

     Today, I introduce "Korakuen." Seeing the picture, you know this garden is in front of Okayama castle; I introduced before. That is to say, Korakuen is Okayama castle's garden. And more, Korakuen is one of the three greatest garden in Japan, and the others is Kairakuen in Ibaraki prefecture and Kenrokuen in ishikawa prefecture.       I have been there many time and think this place has unique atmosphere that Japanese tell "wabisabi." If you want to feel such feeling, you should go.
